I was born and raised in the third largest city, Guangzhou in the south part of China. I graduated from the university in Macau, where also known as Asian Las-Vegas. I am a former professional swimmer representing Guangdong Province, a certified rescue diver and a WSET® sommelier.
I came to New Zealand after my graduation in 2014 for working holiday and soon fell in love with this fabulous country, especially this hidden gem Taupō. I decided to stay here. My entire asset base consisted of $5000 and an old car (as old as I was).
With the sense of economy’s speed and direction, the knowledge I have learned, plus my patience, discipline, responsible and hardworking personality, in 5 years of time, I set up my own restaurant in town, got a new car, and bought my own house. More importantly, I became a husband and a father.
